Our Background
birch-whale started in 2016 when two broadcast engineers noticed a gap in the market. Production houses had access to top-tier gear, but independent creators were left guessing which equipment suited their spaces and budgets.
We set out to bridge that divide. Today, our team includes specialists from live events, post-production facilities, and broadcast studios. Each brings practical knowledge shaped by real-world projects rather than theoretical specifications.

Our headquarters sit in Clerkenwell, central London, with equipment stores in Manchester and Edinburgh. This allows us to cover projects across England, Scotland, and Wales without excessive travel fees.
For larger installations outside these areas, we partner with vetted local contractors who meet our quality standards. You get the same design approach regardless of location.
